Camp Hope Site Coordinator

Hours: 20 hours per week, hourly/non-exempt

Location: San Luis Obispo County

Salary: $18.00 per hour

Under the direction of the Prevention and Training Manager, the Camp Hope Site Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the Camp HOPE America program for RISE in the San Luis Obispo community. The Site Coordinator works directly with children impacted by domestic violence using a trauma-informed approach as well as the evidence-based practices of Camp HOPE America. It is their responsibility to facilitate the implementation and execution of the Camp HOPE America Toolkit. The Site Coordinator will have full legal authority for the campers, have all necessary information about campers’ emotional, medical, and psychological needs and must be authorized to transport them for any unforeseen medical assistance. The Site Coordinator will attend all weeks of camp as well as hosting year-round activities. It is the Site Coordinators role to ensure all youth have been screened and are ready to participate. They are also responsible for recruiting Mentors, Counselors, and Volunteers and ensuring they are trained in Trauma-Informed approaches, background checked, and more.

Prevention Coordinator

Hours: Full Time (40 hrs/week)/Non-Exempt

Location: San Luis Obispo

Salary: $16.75 + $0.58 Bilingual Differential

Reporting to the Education Program Manager, the Prevention Coordinator (Adult Leadership Team Community Organizer) works with the Youth Community Organizer to engage and recruit community members in mobilization efforts to prevent sexual assault (SA) and intimate partner violence (IPV.) By implementing RISE’s primary prevention program, Close to Home, the ALT organizer will engage the community in conversations and action around intersectionality, systematic oppression and community accountability. All RISE staff are state certified crisis counselors and provide both crisis support and advocacy to clients as needed.
